FAQ

Some questions we get a bit more often than others. That’s why we’d like to take the time to answer them immediately. This saves you (and us) some time. Still didn’t find the answer to your question? Feel free to contact us directly!

What are your warranty conditions?

See our terms and conditions – we offer 1 year warranty on all equipment supplied and installed by us. For equipment made by others, we handle all warranty cases.

What happens if something goes wrong with my farm, and I need your support?

We are one WhatsApp message away from support and we try to answer as soon as possible.

If you run into a problem, we first try to guide you through troubleshooting remotely. If the problem is not solved, we take action to send you parts and/or staff needed to solve the issue.

For how long can you support us?

We have been supporting our clients for as long as they need. Besides our standard warranty, we can offer extended warranty plans, but also can simply stay in touch over the years to supply you with parts and maintenance support as needed.

We also offer extended service packages that can include ongoing support, maintenance packages, and even weekly check-ins and farm management support.

Do you do everything yourselves or do you have subcontractors?

Our Landing MicroRAS, PILOT and Proof of Concept are assembled in-house. For large projects, we focus on manufacturing critical components of the systems to ensure quality, while large water holding structures may be subcontracted to be built per our specification.

Why should we pick Landing Aquaculture?

We offer a unique combination of deep knowledge and understanding of land-based aquaculture, a capacity to build robust systems that work. We have a focus to achieve the best possible outcome for our client, even if it means suggesting different ways to move forward in a project from what the client originally had in mind.

Do you use UV in your systems? What about ozone?

We tend not to use UV in the recirculation loop in intensive RAS. Instead, we use low dose ozonation and protein skimmers. Low dose ozonation and skimmers remove bacterial flocs and fine solids, which bacteria support themselves on. This provides a more stable microbial community in the recirculating water.

How long does it take you to deliver a project or a system?

A feasibility study or basic engineering design for a farm takes around 3-4 months.

MicroRAS are normally delivered within two months from order, depending on parts availability and workload.

PILOTs and Proof of Concept systems are delivered within 3-6 months, also based on parts availability and workloads.
