The team you will be working with:

Landing Aquaculture designs and manufactures land-based farms and recirculation systems. We are a close-knit team of creative engineers and consultants who believe in doing things right. As a business development manager, you will work closely with our director, sales director, R&D manager and operational manager.

  • You have proven experience in consultative sales with a record of accomplishment in aquaculture.

  • You have experience with pricing strategies and marketing.

  • You are a team player and natural networker.

  • You are transparent, disciplined and humble, yet confident with a passion to help fish farmers succeed.

  • You stay informed and identify and follow industry and marked trends.

  • You want to live in the Netherlands, preferably near Boxtel, and you do not mind travelling through Europe to meet and engage our clients.

What you will be doing

What your job will look like:

With your curiosity and passion for aquaculture, you are committed to helping our clients and partners succeed. Your focus will be on driving the acquisition of technically challenging commercial aquaculture projects and European-funded projects. As part of our management team, you will actively participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes. From successful prospecting and lead-to-deal conversion, you will be responsible for seamlessly transitioning closed deals to our project managers, all of this while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment, providing ongoing feedback and support.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Continue to build upon and execute a sales strategy to meet organisational goals, including running Landing’s sales process.

  • Leading our sales team in prospecting in target markets, managing the lead pipeline, converting leads into deals, and transitioning closed deals to project management and operations.

  • Networking comes naturally to you. You proactively connect with researchers, investors, fish farmers, and entrepreneurs, creating valuable partnerships.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a small sales team to achieve targets and goals.

  • Foster a positive team culture by conducting performance reviews and offering constructive feedback and support.

  • You take the lead in shaping product pricing strategies and spearheading the implementation of Landing’s marketing plan.
