LandIng has finished the front-end engineering of an innovative recirculating aquaculture facility aimed to study the performance of meagre (Argyrosomus regius) grown in intensive conditions. The facilities, planned to be installed in the fishing port of Peniche, Portugal, would be the first of its kind in Europe. The project, which is still in the fundraising stage, is planned for construction in late 2017, with the pilot trials lasting for 2 years. The data gathered during this pilot project will be used as input in the design of a large-scale commercial facility, currently conceptualised by LandIng.
